Kelly and Gingrich Spar Over Trump

Former Speaker of the House and Trump surrogate, Newt Gingrich, went head to head with Megyn Kelly on her show, “The Kelly File.” The spar resulted in a major wow moment from viewers everywhere.

The Fox News host has been popular amongst anti-Trump supporters after her spar with Donald Trump at the first primary debate. Kelly gave her first question to Trump on his language when it comes to women. In particular, to him calling women, “dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals.” This sparked some serious outrage from Trump, who said that this was an unfair question.

Fast forward to today, and it is almost like Kelly had a crystal ball. Kelly faced some serious backlash over this question, and took a little hiatus from Fox News which she said was a vacation, but others said was presumably a suspension. Trump went head to head with Kelly, as did his supporters. While Kelly said she to Charlie Rose in an interview last October that she did not want any further feud, there was one. Trump has tweeted that Kelly is against him, and his supporters believe it.

And then, last night, Gingrich got into another spat with the Fox News anchor. Gingrich told Kelly that she was “obsessed with sex.” Kelly said she was not, and said she was covering the story of how Trump treats women for her viewers-the American people. The back and forth was cringeworthy, and Kelly left it saying that she hopes Gingrich deals with his anger issues. Her last line shows that Gingrich made her angry. And Gingrich was clearly also angry.

Kelly has been at odds with the Trump camp since the beginning of the election. She said to Gingrich, “You know what Mr. Speaker, I’m not fascinated by sex but I am fascinated by the protection of women and understanding what we’re getting in the Oval Office.”

Trump and Gingrich both responded to the Fox News moment. Trump congratulated Gingrich on what he called an “amazing interview” with Megan Kelly. He said, “we don’t play games, Newt, right?” Gingrich responded in a tweet, “For the record, @megynkelly was wrong, i don’t have anger management issues. I do have media bias issues!
