Rudy Giuliani’s Daughter Supports Clinton
Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani is one of Donald Trump’s greatest allies. The fellow New Yorker is a well liked politician whose time as mayor is considered a success. Giuliani is regularly seen on Fox News networks, speaking at rallies, and in general, covering up for Trump’s statements or pushing his policies. He was a key speaker at the Republican National Convention, and has been a GOP insider who in the earlier stages gave Trump credibility.
So this is the reason that his daughter Caroline’s choice for president has made national news. Caroline posted a H symbol over her Facebook profile picture. Politico quickly got in contact with her to find out if this was her real profile. She told them:
“I love Hillary, I think she’s by far the most qualified candidate that we’ve had in a long while.”
Of course, she had to talk about her dad, and she said, “My dad knows. I was for Barack in 2012. He knows and is fully comfortable with it and thinks I have a right to my opinion.”
Politico reported that she declined to comment on her father’s support for the Republican candidate.
Giuliani’s daughter is a Democrat through and through. In fact, when her father was running for president in 2008, she had to quickly delete her Facebook page because she wrote her views were liberal and joined a “Barack Obama (One Million Strong for Obama”) Facebook group. Of course, this went viral.
We have a view in America that children from political families automatically uphold their parents points of view. People like Meghan McCain and Liz Cheney are perfect examples of continuing on their parent’s legacy. This is why a child of someone who is so strongly Republican, declaring they are supporting the other side, is always shocking and news worthy. But really, the ability to form your own opinion and choose your own party, is what the democratic system is all about.
