Trump Accuses Cruz of “Stealing” Iowa
If there’s one thing American voters do not like, it is a liar or a thief.
According to Donald Trump, Senator Ted Cruz is both.
Trump has gone on his social media platforms to tell the nation that Cruz did not win Iowa, “he stole it.” He is accusing the senator of telling his voters an outright lie: that Trump is for Obamcare, and for abortion.
For Evangelicals, this was enough to give Ted Cruz their vote. Trump has also continued to point to the issue of Cruz’s citizenship, and that the fact he was born in Canada makes him a liar again-he is not legally allowed, according to Trump, to run for president.
Here is what Donald Trump has to say about Cruz’s win on Facebook:
“Ted Cruz didn’t win Iowa, he stole it. That is why all of the polls were wrong and why he got far more votes than anticipated. Bad!”
“During primetime of the Iowa Caucus, Cruz put out a release that Dr. Ben Carson was quitting the race, and to caucus (vote) for Cruz.”
“Many people voted for Cruz over Carson because of this Cruz fraud. Also, Cruz sent out a VOTER VIOLATION certificate to thousands of voters.”
“The Voter Violation certificate gave poor marks to the unsuspective voter (grade of F) and told them to clear it up by voting for Cruz. Fraud!”
“And finally, Cruz strongly told thousands of caucusgoers (voters) that Trump was strongly in favor of ObamaCare and ‘choice’- a total lie!”
Trump believes that based on this information, Cruz did not win Iowa. He tweeted:
“Based on the fraud committed by Senator ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified.”
Donald Trump has said repeatedly that he is the only candidate in the race who is a true winner, so losing the Iowa Caucus to the Texas senator must have been a blow. From what he has discovered, however, he knows that he is the true winner, and wants Cruz win stripped away, or redo. Going into New Hampshire, we can expect Cruz to respond just as harshly, and to defend these accusations.
