House GOP Balanced Budget Moves Forward

House Budget Committee laid out their plan for the upcoming fiscal year. “A Balanced Budget for a Stronger America,” aims to change the “direction” of the country by lowering taxes, limiting spending, and supporting economic growth.

Why does this matter? Because when you see half of your paycheck taken from you for taxes, that lowers your spending power and limits your everyday life. It also cripples the middle class, who lose the ability to contribute to small businesses in their community. This budget will promote “real hope, real compassion, and real opportunity.” It cuts spending by five and a half trillion dollars over ten years, which cleans up waste that is currently happening in DC.

The budget will “free up the American spirit,” and help people realize their American dream. Economy is the number one issue for many Americans, and the House listened to the American people and is shifting the direction in Washington. This budget balances in ten years, in contrast to the president’s budget which never balances. The budget will also defund Obamacare, which will most likely face big opposition from Democrats who are still supporters of the healthcare law.
