Deal On the Brink

With only a day left, it seems as the threat of a government default has forced Senate leadership to work together to make a plan. The Senate is going back into session right now, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are revealing a compromise that will hopefully get both party’s support. Speaker John Boehner has not said yet whether it will move to vote first on the Senate bill, as it is still undetermined if Senator Ted Cruz will delay the vote by using a filibuster. Senator Rand Paul, however, said that he expects people to be ready to vote. The compromise, however, barely addresses Obamacare which will pose more disputes by Tea Party House members who caused a 16 day shutdown in order to defund the law.
