As Promised, House Passes CR

Despite Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s many warnings yesterday, the House passed a continuing resolution that would keep the government running for three more months, but would defund President Obama’s signature legislation. The Senate leadership made it very clear they will not accept this, and will most likely send it back to the House with the part of the bill stripped. Congress has ten days to pass a budget. House Republicans want to include a one year debt-ceiling extension, delay the individual mandate for one year, and begin construction for the Keystone Pipeline.
