Putin Addresses Americans

Vladimir Putin, president of Russia, wrote an article speaking to the American people today in the New York Times. In this article, he urges Americans to support a resolution with the United Nations Security Council to deal peacefully with Syria, and that Americans must question our foreign policy and reputation in the world. As Senator Rand Paul has continually said, it is not the United States place to get involved with Syria, and Putin seems to agree. Putin pointed out that there are many countries who are against America’s force in Syria, and that civilian casualties with an air strike are inevitable. He continued that although we think that we are the champion of democracy, our actions are perceived to be one of brute force with the idea that “you’re either with us or against us.” Putin said that although we are all different, we have to remember that the “God created us equal.” To read the article, please visit http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/12/opinion/putin-plea-for-caution-from-russia-on-syria.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
